BK-S: No. Though we are blessed by the radical forces of freedom and sunshine. Take the Lid OFF!

BK-S: That's right. Our mission is to inspire global flavor with local, sustainable ingredients. GET INTO IT!
YOU: You don't you use any vinegar or preservatives?
BK-S: No. Because we old skool. Fresh Ingredients and Lime Juice. That's it. We recommend eating your salsa in one sitting, but if you can't, try to devour the rest within 10 days. BE YOURSELF!
YOU: Why aren't your products certified organic?
BK-S: The Brooklyn Salsa Company uses Conscious Methods which incorporates three main principles. Direct Trade. Local. Organic. Not only do we use certified organic ingredients from certified organic farms, we also source ingredients locally and internationally increasingly using Direct Trade, and carbon neutral practices. Simply put, we believe our practices are better than certified organic. We care deeply about the source of each ingredient in our jars, and our promise is to constantly evolve - pushing boundaries, giving back and exposing the voices and new methods we believe in.
YOU: How do you source Tropical ingredients locally?
BK-S: We don't. Look to the equator. Florida, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. Conscious Methods in action, Direct Trade and Carbon Neutral.
YOU: What does Heirloom mean?
BK-S: Before industrialized agriculture, an extensively larger variety of plant foods were grown by farmers. Heirloom seeds have never been genetically modified for shape, size, color, or resistance to modern disease and pesticides. Passed down through history, from generation to generation, Heirloom seeds hold their essential evolutionary traits through unobstructed open pollination.
